What "training" really is

Why more data helps

More reading fills in the gaps; more practice sharpens the guesses. But messy data doesn't help — and bigger isn't magic.

It's not a database

A database looks up exact records; a trained model stores none. It blends patterns into a fresh answer every time — which is why it can handle questions it never saw.

Why it's confidently wrong

The model always sounds fluent and sure — even when it's guessing in a gap. Fluency is not the same as being right.

What "fine-tuning" means

A big model is trained once, at great cost. Fine-tuning is a small extra round of practice that shapes its style for a job — without re-teaching everything.
