Lesson 5 of 7
Deploy it everywhere
6 min read
You built a great assistant. Now it's stuck in one chat window. How do you get it in front of the people who need it — on your site, in Slack, over WhatsApp?
One assistant, many channels
The assistant you built is one brain. Where people talk to it is a channel. Most builders let you connect the same assistant to many channels at once: a chat bubble on your website, a bot in Slack, a WhatsApp number, even a voice line people can call. Build once, ship to all of them.
The assistant and the channel are separate. One assistant can serve a website, a chat app, and a phone line at the same time.
The channel changes the manners, not the brain
Each channel has its own style — a website widget shows buttons, WhatsApp keeps it short and chatty, a voice line has to sound natural. The assistant stays the same; you just tune how it presents itself per channel. Improve the instructions once and every channel gets the upgrade.
Because every channel shares one assistant, a single change updates all of them — you're never maintaining five separate bots.
Ship to the channels your people already use, not all of them at once. A WhatsApp number nobody messages is just upkeep — start where your audience already is.
The shape of it
- —One assistant (the brain) can be deployed to many channels at once.
- —Website chat, Slack, WhatsApp, and voice lines are all just channels.
- —Update the one assistant and every channel gets the change.
You improve your assistant's answer about opening hours. It's live on your website, in Slack, and on WhatsApp. What do you have to update?
